In no particular order I will be going through 100 movies that I highly recommend you see in your lifetime.

#100 – Die Hard

Willis as the iconic John McClane in the first of four Die Hard movies.

‘Ho Ho Ho now i have a machine gun’ just one of many one liners in this explosive, macho film.

One of the original over the top 80’s action flicks, that has inspired so many sequels and rip offs. But none have come close to this heart pumping thrillride! Bruce Willis plays arguably his most recognisable role as the charismatic New York cop John McClane, who is on a trip to LA to visit estranged wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) at her workplace Christmas party. When the Nakotomi tower and the partygoers get taken hostage, McClane must disregard outside authorities to take on the terrorists led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) who are there to steal 600 million dollars hidden in the high tech safe.

Packed with great action and humour timed to perfection, this has to go down as one of the benchmarks in the action genre.

Year Released: 1989
