Reports are circling that Ashton Kutcher has been cast to play the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in an independent film about the early days of the company.

Kutcher will portray the executive in the film, with the title reportedly ‘Jobs.’ As for the director, little known Joshua Michael Stern is rumoured to be at the helm of the project.

Sony Pictures are also reported to be producing a movie about Jobs based on his biography by Walter Isaacson, with The Social Network scribe Aaron Sorkin interested in writing the screenplay.
